The AAUA Faculty of Computing File Sharing System is a centralized platform designed to:
- Allow students to submit assignments directly to lecturers
- Enable students to access course materials uploaded by lecturers
- 🆕 View scores and feedback on submitted assignments
- Provide a secure and organized file management system
- Facilitate seamless communication between students and faculty

Access the Registration Page
- Navigate to the file sharing system website
- Click on "Sign Up" or "Register"

Fill in Account Information
📧 Email Address: Use your institutional email (e.g., student@aaua.edu.ng)👤 Full Name: Enter your name as it appears on your student ID

Provide Academic Information
🎓 Matric Number: Your unique student identification number🔐 Password: Create a secure password for your account🔐 Confirm Password: Re-enter your password to confirm🏢 Department: Select from available options:
- Computer Science
- Cyber Security
- Data Analysis
- Information and Communication Technology
- Information Systems
- Software Engineering
📊 Level: Select your current academic level (100-400) -
Submit Registration
- Review all information for accuracy
- Click "Register Now" button
- Wait for confirmation message
- Ensure your department and level are correctly selected
- Remember your password - it cannot be recovered without admin assistance
- Use a valid email address for important notifications
- Navigate to the login page
- Enter your registered email address
- Enter your password
- Click "Login" or "Sign In"
If you forget your password, don't worry! Follow these steps to reset it:

Go to the Login Page
- Navigate to the file sharing system login page
- Look for the "Forgot Password?" or "Reset Password" link below the login form

Enter Your Email Address
- Enter the email address you used during registration
- Click the "Reset Password" or "Send Reset Link" button

Check Your Email
- Check your email inbox for a password reset link
- If you don't see it, check your spam or junk folder
- The link will be valid for a limited time (usually 24 hours)

Click the Reset Link
- Click the link in the email
- You'll be taken to a page where you can create a new password

Create a New Password
- Enter your new password
- Confirm your new password
- Click "Save" or "Update Password"

Login with New Password
- Return to the login page
- Login with your email and new password
- If successful, you'll be redirected to your dashboard
- Password Reset Link Expires: The reset link is only valid for 24 hours. Request a new one if it expires.
- Check Spam Folder: If you don't see the email, check your spam or junk mail folder.
- Contact Admin: If you still can't reset your password, contact the system administrator.
- Use a Strong Password: Create a password that's easy to remember but hard to guess.
After logging in, you'll see your student dashboard with the following sections:
Displays your profile information:
- Full Name
- Email Address
- Matric Number
- Department
- Current Level
Shows all files you have uploaded, including:
- File name and type
- Department and level tagged
- Course code
- Which lecturer the file was submitted to
- Upload date and time
- File size
- Your description/notes
- 🆕 Score and feedback (if graded)
Actions available for your uploads:
- View: Open the file in browser
- Download: Save file to your device
- Delete: Remove the file (with confirmation)
- 🆕 Check Score: Click ⭐ Check Score to view your score and feedback
- Your score (if graded)
- Feedback/comment from the lecturer
- Who graded your submission
- Or "Not Scored Yet" if still pending
Displays files uploaded by lecturers that match your department and level:
- Course materials
- Lecture notes
- Assignments
- Past questions
- Project guidelines
Note: The ⭐ Check Score button is only available on files you have uploaded (your submissions), not on lecturer uploaded files.

Access Upload Page
- Click "Upload a File" button on your dashboard
- You'll be redirected to the upload form

Fill in File Information
📄 File Title: Give your file a descriptive name📋 File Type: Select from: Assignment Submission, Project, Report, or Others🏢 Department: Auto-filled from your profile (cannot be changed)📊 Level: Auto-filled from your profile (cannot be changed)📚 Course Code: Enter the course code (e.g., CSC 201, CSC 301)👨🏫 Assign to Lecturer: Select which lecturer to submit the file to (REQUIRED)📝 Description: Add any notes or comments about the file

Select File
- Click "Choose File" or browse button
- Select the file from your device
- Supported formats: PDF, DOC, DOCX, PPT, PPTX, TXT, JPG, PNG, MP4, AVI, MKV
- Maximum file size: 100MB

Submit Upload
- Review all information
- Click "Upload File" button
- Wait for upload to complete (you'll see a progress indicator)
- Upon success, you'll be redirected to your dashboard
- You must select a lecturer to assign the file to
- File size must not exceed 100MB
- Only supported file formats are allowed
- Department and level cannot be changed (uses your profile settings)

Go to Your Dashboard
- Log in to your student account
- You'll see your uploads in the "Your Uploads" section

Find Your File
- Locate the file you want to check
- Look for the ⭐ Check Score button

Click "Check Score"
- A popup modal will appear
- You'll see one of two things:
- Your score (e.g., "85")
- Feedback/comment from lecturer
- Who scored it
- Date scored
- "Not Scored Yet" message
- "Your submission is pending review"
- Keep checking back for updates
- You are viewing your own uploaded files
- The file was uploaded after the scoring feature was implemented
- You are logged in as a student
The system automatically shows you files that match:
- Your Department: Files uploaded for your specific department
- Your Level: Files uploaded for your current level
- All Departments/Levels: Files marked as available to everyone
For each lecturer file, you can see:
- File name and type
- Uploaded by (lecturer's name and email)
- Target department and level
- Course code (if specified)
- Upload date
- File size
- Description/instructions from lecturer
- Assignment badge (if it's an assignment)

- Regular Checks: Check the dashboard regularly for new lecturer uploads and score updates
- Timely Submissions: Upload assignments well before deadlines
- Verify Uploads: After uploading, verify the file appears in "Your Uploads" section
- Organize Files: Keep your local copies organized by course and date
- Descriptions: Always add meaningful descriptions to help lecturers understand your submission
- File Formats: Use PDF for final submissions when possible
